Can technology promote family-school interaction?

Yes, it can. Technology can make the family more informed and the involvement more immediate and meaningful. But technology cannot be a quick fix for family-school interaction nor it should be used just for technology’s sake. For example, a school website must be carefully planned and structured such that some of its components serve the parents. Aside from parent-teacher conference announcements, a school website can link a parent to the student’s classroom by giving more information on the curricula, course objectives, assignments, projects, and even grades
